I'll Be There
When the night has fallen
And you're lost and lonely
Look out to the stars above
Therein you shall find my love
Just think of me, I'll be there.
When the world has slept
And you're sad and sorry
Listen to the phone beside
Therein I will hold you tight
Just call to me, I'll be there.
When the dreams have fled
And you're down and dreary
Feel for the cool night air
Therein lies much worried care
Just reach out to me, I'll be there.
Should you choose to shut yourself in
I'll still be there, deep within.
11:27 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002Devastation
Staring into space, shocked
The blatant simplicity of it all
Glares at my naked body
Sending rays of piercing ice
I shiver.
Hearing her voice, so calm
The sheer stupidity of it all
Reeling as blow after blow
Of hard reality crashes in
I grimace
Feelings too strong, dumbfounded
The total over-reacting of it all
Meaningless efforts gone
Reasons not understood
I cry
11:03 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002A Question
An innocent question breaks the long held silence
Though unanswered, leaves much to be yearned
Days of torturous restraint wasted in seconds
A stabbed heart, thought dead, spurtles to life
Sinful glimpses of the Devil's temptation
Yet, to another, is Heaven's just reward
Shadows playing in the flickering light
Brightness a pain, darkness all too familiar
Over and over like a broken record
Senseless droning just as soundless
A new picture painted above the old
Forceful burial of coffins yet dead
And tell me would you still care,
If to all I were to declare?

Breezing through the Elysium Fields and down the River of Lethe. Stop by at Styx, flirt with Erebus, and tease the Old Man Charon. Give Cerberus a scratch, play some three-headed catch, and away to see the king. Silent as ever, that's Hades my friend, and fair Persephone beside. Paying my respects, a swift bow, and off again to wander. A quick pass at the judges, and Tartarus to taunt the dead. Tired at last, back to Elysium, and a toast with heroes of long past.
